Motivation and training

Probably 50% of the time I don’t feel like to move and train when it’s early in the morning but 110% of the time I am more than glad I did afterwards. You know how we all say stuff but don’t do it sometimes? You know how we set goals but it doesn’t manifest and we just put things off? Well every time, we get on the floor when we don’t feel up to it, we are teaching our brains to do what we say we would and that serves life well. I call it the punch back button …I am getting older, I start to see people I care about quit, I see people go through jobs they don’t like but are making no effort to change it, joints start to hurt with no attempt to heal it, bad relationships they won’t leave, money problems, you name it. The heartbreaking thing is when I see them give up, they accepted defeat. When life punches you, you gotta punch back.Almost anything you wanna solve you can learn to beat it, that’s the good side of the info age. You wanna learn to manage money better, there are good courses on that. You want relationship skills, there are good courses and coaches out there for that. You wanna get in shape, there are great courses and professional trainers out there for that. The bad side is, no knowledge is of any use without the punch back button, you need to develop that in your brain.Sometimes you meet people that like to practice the combat arts, it is not that they are necessarily violent people who like to beat people up. They just like the feeling of punching back. The thing is we are all born with this instinct, it’s primitive but being civil have buries it deep until we can’t find it anymore. It’s important to be civil but it is also important to have a space where the primitive natural self is felt. Be it combative arts, mountain climbing, archery, whatever. Doesn’t matter what it is, it’s yours. “Surround yourself with people that are positive, stay away from people who are complaining and talking a lot but never act” – this was one of the best advice I ever received many many years ago from a high school teacher. Punch back! Punch hard!“There is nothing outside of yourself that can ever enable you to get better, stronger, richer, quicker, or smarter. Everything is within. Everything exists. Seek nothing outside of yourself.” – Myamoto Musashi Samurai” There is as much infinite space inside as there is outside of you ” – Taoism……now echo in quantum physics…” The highest human need is to realize the potential within” – Abram MaslowFollow your nature, the sun never argues with the moon about whos right, it will take enormous work to realize what you can really do. What else is there to DO?
