The clinch is used in many styles to control an opponent. Some styles do it to control the neck for elbows and knees, other styles use it for takedowns. So how do you counter a clinch using Wing Chun? One of the key concepts is in the forms.

In this video, the punches and forearm are from Wing Chun. The arm locks, throws and releases are NOT from Wing Chun.
Sometimes you do not let him grab , sometimes you let him grab so you can work on releases. It’s important to work on both.
